Newly-appointed Temperzone Australia General Manager Robert Beggs has vowed to continue the company’s concerted drive towards innovative excellence.

Having commenced his role in November 2016 following a 22-year career with Daikin Australia, Beggs believes the company has a significant role to play when it comes to the creation of efficient and sustainable climate control solutions.

“’Innovation’ is one of those over-used buzz words we hear bandied about across many industries, with little thought given to what it actually means,” says Beggs. “ However, I’m determined to see that Temperzone continues to develop the type of genuine breakthroughs that will help meet the rapidly growing demand for environmentally friendly air conditioning solutions.”

With a highly regarded track record in fields including design, manufacturing, corporate compliance, and Australian and International Standard development, Beggs is well placed to help lead Temperzone into the future. Temperzone Australia Managing Director Alan Channells says Beggs will be a critical addition to the company.

“There’s no doubt Rob brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Temperzone,” says Channells. “That experience and knowledge will be vital in enabling us to move forward and take full advantage of exciting new market opportunities. Apart from the responsibility of overseeing our manufacturing and factory operations, Rob has also been given the task of leading our highly motivated sales team. It goes without saying that we are all very excited to have him on board.”

Building Energy Efficiency is a hot topic at the moment. If you ask an architect about energy efficiency, they will say it is mostly to do with design and construction. A controls person will tell you that real energy efficiency requires a state of the art BMS system. The air conditioning engineer will of course, tell you it’s all about the air conditioning design. The St Columba School library project is a great example of how a holistic approach that integrates design, construction, BMS and air conditioning technology can produce truly exceptional energy efficiency results.
